We are seeking for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join the field of Network Technology within our R&D department which contributes to the evolution of the next generation of leading networking products. We are building firmware, SDK, simulator and compiler for Cisco Silicon One™ architecture and work in the development of pioneering technology.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, maintain, and perform support for the infrastructural part of Linux/C++ SDK
- Refactor, maintain, and optimize the advanced Makefile-based build mechanism. Support for cross-compilation, different compilers, and different Linux environments.
- Work on refactoring and redesigning the C++ code to achieve faster build and smaller binary size.
- Develop and maintain various custom tools needed for SDK development and analysis, like code coverage, build process analysis, automatic code generation, code quality, etc.
- Work on the optimization of the test execution.
- Collaborate with other SDK development teams; closely cooperate with the teams in charge for release, QA, and CI/CD

Who You Are
- Solid expertise in C/C++ software development on Linux
- Have a proper understanding of the build process, Linux tools (esp. Makefile), system architecture
- Experience with at least one script language
- Academic education in computer technology (finished BSc/MSc studies) or academic education in a related field with relevant experience
- Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- High level of work autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with SWIG
- Experience Jenkins, Docker, test automation
- Familiarity with the concept of unit testing
- Knowledge of Yocto
