Azure Senior Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to work in our team. We need a Backend Developer for Microservices in Azure Cloud with proficiency in any modern programming language for microservices development.

We invite you to become part of the Navigation&Awareness team, dedicated to advancing tracking, awareness services, navigation systems, and voyage planning for the international marine market. This specific position focuses on developing cutting-edge notification engines tailored for maritime data systems, enhancing our capabilities in delivering real-time insights and updates critical for maritime operations. Work within an Agile environment alongside seasoned developers, product specialists, and QA engineers to revolutionize how maritime data is monitored and notifications are managed.

The location for this position is in Belgrade, Serbia.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths or relevant
• At least 3 years of experience in developing commercial web and microservices applications, with proficiency in any modern programming language. Familiarity with Python, C# and ASP.NET Core preferred due to existing project codebases.
• Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding their integration within cloud-based environments.
• Solid experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with GitOps practices for continuous deployment and management (Argo CD).
• Understanding and practical use of development patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and fluency in English for effective communication.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices within the Azure Cloud ecosystem, focusing on high availability, scalability, and resilience.
• Engage in architectural discussions, code reviews, and the creation of architectural documentation to ensure robust service design.
• Implement and maintain unit and integration tests, and address issues identified during testing phases and in production environments.
• Facilitate seamless integration between proprietary and third-party services using contemporary communication protocols (REST, gRPC).
