Backend Engineer (Golang, 100% Remote)

Our client is a travel booking platform specializing in curated trips to exotic destinations, helping clients discover unique experiences around the world with ease and confidence

We are looking for a Golang Developer who will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle of the Backend, from designing and writing clean, maintainable code to implementing robust testing strategies and deploying the application to the cloud.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Golang, with a focus on building scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Extensive experience with building APIs and microservices
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies, particularly with GitHub Actions
• Excellent English communication and collaboration skills for working with distributed teams
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, able to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment

Nice to have:

• Experience working with e-commerce platforms and high-traffic systems
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
• Experience in cloud-native development and serverless architectures
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Golang
• Design and implement APIs and microservices that are scalable, efficient, and easy to maintain
• Work with the DevOps team to deploy the app to cloud environments (AWS), ensuring smooth and automated deployment pipelines
• Implement robust testing strategies to ensure code quality and system reliability
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows best practices and industry standards
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to deliver new features and system improvements
• Optimize and fine-tune the performance of databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and search engines (Elasticsearch)
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain high-quality standards across the development team
