DevOps Engineer (intermediate/senior)

Location: Novi Sad, on-site position  //  Work type: full-time or half-time, long term

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a deep understanding of Terraform and CloudFormation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering, with a strong preference for AWS cloud environments in a production setting
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins<
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, or Docker Swarm
• In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, including microservices deployment, networking, security, and best practices for scalability and resilience
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack) to maintain system reliability
• Exposure to configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and GitOps workflows
• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases in cloud environments, including backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration for production workloads
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a site reliability engineering mindset

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Build robust, automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure provisioning
• Architect and design the overall infrastructure and deployment strategy for large-scale IT projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and security teams
• Use AWS services and tools to deploy, manage, monitor, and scale applications in a cloud-native environment
• Contribute to architecture decisions and provide input on system reliability, security, and cost optimization
