We are looking for: Finance Accountant

Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting and executing core accounting processes in line with company policies and applicable statutory requirements. The role plays an important part in the month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data and reporting.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and independent professional who is comfortable taking ownership of tasks, working collaboratively within a team, and continuously developing their expertise in a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

• Handles accounting and bookkeeping per regulations and company policy, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
• Supports the month-end and year-end closing process in accordance with defined deadlines;
• Assists in the supervision and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger accounts;
• Participates in the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting optimization efforts;
• Contributes to the preparation of statutory annual financial statements;
• Ensures timely execution and compliance with tax-related obligations;
• Assists in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including allowances and other employee benefits;
• Identifies errors and supports initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy of processes;
• Participates in the external audit process and provides required documentation and support;
• Books and processes travel orders (travel expense reports) in accordance with company policies;
• Contributes to the improvement and optimization of accounting processes, systems, and procedures;
• Provides variance analysis and explanations based on monthly reconciliations of relevant accounts;
• Supports the development and documentation of accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls;
• Engages with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, financial institutions, and other relevant organisations as required.
• Works alongside FICO/IS teams to facilitate system enhancements and promote business development projects.
• Assists with ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by FICO Team Lead or Management.

About you

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant;
• At least 3 years’ accounting experience, ideally in IT or professional services;
• Proven experience with General Ledger functions, external auditing and the closing process;
• Strong computer skills and advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables;
• Excellent knowledge of English language written and spoken;
• Ability to manage tight schedules and prioritize;
• Detail-oriented and skilled at problem solving;
• Collaborative and team-oriented attitude.

It would be a plus to have

• Accounting experience in IT/ Professional services industry;
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA);
• Experience in Google Workspace and PSIT (MPP);
