The way we work:
We are a Game Studio that is part of IGT Belgrade, established in 2012 and we are working closely with other studios across the globe (Graz, Moncton, Reno, etc.). Spielo Studio in Belgrade comprises more than 120 team members. Our passion for game development results in the release of more than 100 slot games per year. Each game starts as a concept provided by a producer. It is then refined and brought to life by our development teams, under the guidance of the product owner and scrum master. The development team, led by a development manager, counts 15 team members devoted per project, working closely with producers, product owners, scrum masters, artists, and QA engineers.
What are we looking for:
We are seeking for an addition to the team with a strong programming background and expertise in Unity, someone who can conduct technical analysis of graphics, performance optimization and shader programming. Understanding Unity's technical constraints and capabilities is essential, along with hands-on experience in Unity development.
What you will do:
- Implement 3D game art and animations created by the Art team into Unity games, ensuring compatibility with production pipelines and alignment with the game’s creative vision
- Collaborate with the team to achieve the artistic vision for the game
- Analyze and improve performance and memory usage
- Author new shaders and effects
- Research and propose improvements to processes and pipelines
- Determine the art packages and technical tools best suited for the game project
- Work closely with the Producers, Developers, and entire Scrum Teams for the implementation of art assets based on specifications
- Collaborate with designers, artists, developers, etc. to generate effective design solutions
Must-haves:
- At least 3 years of experience with the Unity Engine
- Experience optimizing 2D/3D assets for Unity
- Experience with art production workflow
- Knowledge of shaders and rendering pipelines
- Experience creating particles or other VFX
- Creative mindset and ability to overcome technical challenges
- Know how to optimize content quickly without sacrificing visual quality
- Knowledge of Animation principles
- English language skills, we work with producers worldwide
- A passion for game development
- You are a self-starter and can work independently
Good to have:
- C# programming knowledge
- Unity editor tools scripting
- Develop and maintain new and existing tools for the artists
- Knowledge of Blender, Photoshop, and Adobe Premier
