Hardware Engineer

RT-RK is an R&D company and a national research institute which delivers development services and own products in the area of real time embedded systems, with a strong focus on consumer electronics and automotive. As a part of our Hardware team you will design and develop hardware embedded systems and be engaged in supporting other teams on concept design of devices. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join a team of embedded software engineers developing automated tests according to well established international standards and work for some of the most prominent brands in the automotive world.

Your role would include:

Preparation of HW functional concepts and specifications
Capturing circuit schematics and PCB layout designs
Prototype bring-up and verification
Compliance testing
Design transfer to worldwide mass production environments
Optimizing the design according to technological constraints on production lines and customers purchasing chains

REQUIREMENTS:

Academic education in Electric, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (BSc or MSc degree)
Understanding of digital electronics design, processors, systems on chip (SoCs), as well as mixed-mode integrated circuits (ICs) for standard and specific applications (ASSPs, ASICs)
eCAD (Altium, Pulsonix, Siemens)
High speed design simulations and analysis (signal integrity, power integrity)
Mechanical design and thermal integrity is a plus
Design for Manufacturability, Sourcing, Assembly, Logistics (DfM, DfS, DfA, DfL)
Experience using laboratory and measurement equipment
Proficiency in written and spoken English

Preferred skills and knowledge:

Basic knowledge about real time embedded firmware, ability to understand FW algorithm and real time FW
Basic knowledge about digital design and FPGA
Customer support sensibility
Strong problem solving abilities, as well as self-initiative and proactive approach
