IT Project Coordinator
Place of work: Remote
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Project Management
- End-to-end Management of the Project Lifecycle, from incubation all the way to acceptance
- Project tracking and reporting (Status Reports, Schedule Tracking, RIDAC Logs, etc.)
- Change Management, Communications and Stakeholder Management
- Project admin & collaboration tasks (organizing the Project kick-offs and key calls, holding and distributing project minutes, information exchange, back-office tasks, etc.)
- Orchestrating between various IT functions in order to coordinate tasks, resolve problems and drive the projects forward
- Draft Project documentation (Project Charters, Project Schedules and WBS breakdowns, Functional Specs, UAT planning & results, hand-off information, closure docs, etc.)
- Leveraging the above to ensure that Projects are delivered “on-time, on-spec & on-budget”
- Being a trusted advisor and PM “evangelist” to other delivery teams, providing knowledge support & best practices that will ensure our standards and Governance models are upheld
- Acting as an business consultant when required, to translate business needs into Functional Requirements.
Portfolio Management
- Running a Portfolio of Projects and ensuring all status information is updated and actionable
- Maintaining a “helicopter view” of the Portfolio that will enable us to plan resources, collectively prioritize work between projects, and be in a position to build realistic forecasts
Position Requirements
Formal Education, Work Experience & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, technology and/or Project Management, with 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience
- Certifications in technology-related and PM disciplines:
- Traditional PM certifications strongly preferred (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
- Agile certification would be a strong plus (Scrum Master, etc.)
Knowledge & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS-Project and MS-Teams
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow or any industry-standard PPM systems (example: Clarity, Primavera, Planview, JIRA-based systems, etc.)
- Deep understanding of Project and Portfolio Management methodologies and best practices
- Familiarity with the functioning of a PMO and Project Investment Boards
