JOB DESCRIPTION

• Creating a culture of innovation within the company by promoting new ideas, patents and providing resources for research and development;
• Identify required product and business solutions to realize our vision and shape an aligned innovation roadmap together with our stakeholders;
• Build up a strong worldwide innovation network across the organization;
• Establish strong relationship with universities and stakeholders;
• Establishing goals and metrics to measure progress in the company’s key areas of focus;
• Management, reporting and coordination of Continental innovation projects worldwide;
• Investigate new / emerging technologies, innovations and opportunities;
• Drive the development of concepts, proof of concepts, initiation of innovation projects and realization of prototype solutions together with our cross-organizational team and our partners;
• Ensure smooth handover of developed solutions to segments and product lines;
• Encourage the engineers to apply for patents, promoting an innovative culture within the organization;
• Analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes;
• Managing projects from start to finish, including working with other teams within the organization to ensure objectives are met;
• Working closely with designers, engineers, and other members of the team to develop new ideas or improve existing ones;
• Communicating regularly with Core Management team about the status of projects and challenges facing the company.
