Manual QA Lead

Responsibilities:

• Hire and mentor a team of QA engineers
• Coach and lead team members and consultants, assign tasks and production support backlog
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establish metrics, apply industry best practices, and ensure quality goals are met
• Work closely and collaboratively with managers and development teams
• Define test strategy, tools, test development and test execution
• Continuously learn, improve, and optimize processes and ways of working
• Provide constructive feedback to help your direct reports grow in their professional careers
• Provide estimates for resource utilization through a project

Required Characteristics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in the software quality field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience in leading a QA team thru all testing lifecycle stages
• Understanding of waterfall, agile and scrum software development concepts
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies
• Ability to provide verbal explanations of status and technical issues with precision and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver results
• English language – upper intermediate and higher

Advantage for candidates with:

• Industry experience with a successful track record in IPTV, OTT, and Smart TV applications
• Testing experience with streaming technology on *nix, Android, iOS, Tizen and WebOS platforms
• Working experience with JSON, REST/SOAP and hand on experience with scripting and query languages (Python, Shell, SQL, JSQL)
• Experience in multi-lingual, multi-cultural environments both managing and working with offshore project teams
• Knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience of work with Android Studio and other emulators
