Medior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We're looking for a Medior DevOps Engineer who enjoys automating processes, improving infrastructure reliability, and making software delivery faster, safer, and more efficient.

What You Will Do

AWS Infrastructure: You'll help provision, maintain, and improve our AWS infrastructure, working with services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, and Route 53. You'll monitor resource usage, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to infrastructure reliability and cost efficiency.

Containerization: You'll work with Docker to build, maintain, and optimize container images. You'll help ensure applications run consistently across development, staging, and production environments, following established containerization practices.

CI/CD Pipelines: You'll build, maintain, and improve GitHub Actions workflows to automate testing, builds, and deployments. You'll help make releases more reliable and repeatable, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and contribute to deployment and rollback procedures.

Infrastructure as Code: You'll work with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to manage infrastructure changes consistently and reduce manual configuration.

Security & Access Management: You'll help maintain secure infrastructure by following least-privilege access principles, managing secrets appropriately, and supporting security checks and vulnerability scanning. You'll follow established security practices and contribute ideas for improving them.

Administration & Reliability: You'll monitor infrastructure health, investigate alerts, troubleshoot operational issues, and support incident resolution. You'll help manage environments and access permissions, document solutions, and automate recurring operational tasks.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: You'll work closely with developers and experienced engineers to understand infrastructure needs, resolve technical challenges, and improve development and deployment workflows.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or a similar engineering role;
• Practical experience with AWS and a good understanding of core services such as EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, and RDS;
• Hands-on experience with Docker, including building and maintaining container images;
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions;
• Basic to intermediate experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation;
• A good understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including IAM permissions, access control, and secrets management;
• Experience with scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages to automate tasks and simplify operational workflows;
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues;
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, firewalls, and network access controls;
• The ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions with an appropriate level of guidance;
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks;
• Good documentation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other team members.

Nice to Have

• Experience with container orchestration, particularly Amazon ECS, Fargate, or EKS;
• Familiarity with AWS security tools such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and AWS Config;
• Experience with secrets management tools such as AWS Secrets Manager or SSM Parameter Store;
• Familiarity with observability tools and platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry;
• Experience with deployment strategies, rollback procedures, and environment-specific configurations;
• Familiarity with cloud cost monitoring and optimization;
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance processes;
• Experience working with production environments and participating in incident investigations.

• Monthly Salary: 1,300-2,000 EUR, depending on your skills and experience;
