About the position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating comprehensive test cases, documenting test results, automating regression testing, and ensuring the overall quality and functionality of our data platform. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality, and expertise in testing methodologies, we’d love to hear from you.
The job has a part-time commitment requirement with the possibility to transition to full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of features and functionalities.
- Document and communicate test results, providing clear and actionable insights to development teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated regression test suites to ensure ongoing quality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Identify, document, and track defects using [Bug Tracking Tool] and follow through to resolution.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing to ensure the platform can handle expected user loads.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA and software testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on data platforms or related technologies.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong understanding of regression testing and test automation frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work between 9 am and 5 pm EST.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
