Senior DevOps/System Engineer
This is a permanent position and presents an excellent opportunity for experienced DevOps/System engineer looking to further up their knowledge in the latest technologies and Oracle cloud environment.
Essential duties:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for our continuous development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
- Maintain ongoing automated monitoring of our SaaS systems to detect and address potential failures and security threats, ensuring proactive resolution of identified issues.
- Automate deployment processes to Kubernetes clusters and associated systems.
- Adhere to industry best practices and security recommendations to uphold the seamless operation and high uptime of our cloud-based SaaS solutions.
- Conduct maintenance tasks for multiple cloud-based SaaS systems, including configuration, upgrades, patching, and backup procedures.
- Utilize technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and product knowledge to diagnose issues, determine root causes, and implement permanent resolutions.
- Conduct regular security and vulnerability assessments and implement appropriate cybersecurity measures to safeguard our systems.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements and enhancements to existing systems.
- Review and improve relevant documentation.
The following technical skills are highly desirable:
- Experience in configuration and use of one of the Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure or Oracle cloud)
- Strong security skills and experience.
- One or more scripting tools (e.g. Maven, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, Python…)
- One or more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, etc.)
- Networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
- Experience with service desk tools, defect tracking and software version control tools (eg Jira, Git, SVN)
- Solid Linux skills
- DBA experience is an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
