We are looking for an experienced software engineer / architect to act as a part of our Orion team to develop innovative security solutions in the areas of home, mobile and commercial security. Being part of the Scrum Embedded team, you will work through the full software development life cycle starting from business requirements handling through their implementation and different types of testing to the following bugfix and support.
Your activities will be focused on development of the software corresponding to the requirements for the specific releases. Development comprises the definition of architectural concepts, development of source code, primarily in C++ or Python, implementation of unit tests, fixing of bugs, development of automated tests and creation/writing of technical documentation. Anticipated split between architectural software development/test activities is 50/50.
You will:
- Collaborate closely with other Software developers in the team
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Project Management teams
- Collaborate closely with other Architects in the team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other design and\or test teams
- Analyze business requirements and transform them into proposals for implementation suggesting different alternatives and good practices
- Architect, design, develop, implement, and maintain software components and tools
- Debug complex, multi-process systems
- Being a part of Scrum team be focused on the permanent improvements in the processes and products
You have:
- Demonstrated strong collaboration, cross-functionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding, knowledge of possible weak, benefits and specifics of subject area, possibility to select among alternatives and good practices
- Experience in a production software development environment (version control, automated testing, build tools)
- 5+ years' experience in C/C+
- 3+ years working in a Linux development environment including network setup\configuration,
- 1-2 years working experience in and good understanding of Python and\or Bash
- 1-2 years working experience in and good understanding of microservices architecture
- 1-2 years experience with architecture definition and corresponding knowledge of UML
- Basic understanding of User Authorization and Authentication techniques
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
Bonus:
- Basic understanding of Virtualization techniques
- Experience with OS specifics and distro management (Yocto development)
- Experience with HW Specific (Performance tuning, Cross compilation specific, IMX8 platform
