Our partner Embotech is an award-winning software scale-up developing cutting-edge autonomous driving technology and solutions for autonomous vehicles, with a focus on private ground applications such as logistics yards, Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP) and mining. We are accelerating the transition towards safe autonomous transportation by leveraging the real-time optimization technology that we have been developing since 2012.

Senior Engineer Functional Safety

To join our interdisciplinary team and help envision, create, and roll out groundbreaking safety solutions beyond established norms.

Your responsibilities:

• Planning, coordination, and monitoring of activities in the area of functional safety throughout the entire project/product life cycle
• Contact person for customers about Functional Safety
• Support our employees in Functional Safety activities
• Support and perform dedicated safety analyses (e.g. HARA, Risk Analysis, DFMEA)
• With regard to Functional Safety, collaborate on product and supplier approvals

Your profile:

• MSc or PhD in robotics or electrical engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
• Technical background in software/system development and at least 5 years of professional experience acquired in the automotive or vehicle industry or comparable environment
• Proven knowledge of your competence in safety-related standards, such as: ISO 13849, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, IEC 61508, and the European machinery directive for CE marking
• Comprehensive project management skills
• Self-driven, team player with problem-solving and communication skills. Strong sense of ownership with high standards.
• Fluency in spoken and written English. German would be an advantage
