Congrats! You’ve passed the first level. You clicked on a Stealth Mode Startup job post, which show us that you are curious. We like and encourage curiosity on our team. As you can tell from the title, we are looking for a new team member: a senior front-end developer.
About the startup
Let’s start from the beginning and tell you a little bit about the startup. We are a SaaS startup that is just over 20 months young, located on two continents, in Subotica (SRB) and Princeton (NJ, USA). We are on a mission to transform how doctors engage with medical information, and how life science (e.g., pharmaceutical) companies create and distribute such information to doctors. The life science industry spends $50B each year barraging doctors with medical and promotional content, and we are creating an exciting no-code SaaS platform to disrupt this industry.
Another way to look at it is that, in simple words, two industry veterans spotted an unsolved problem and decided to do something about it, and then surrounded themselves with like-minded people to join them on the journey. Our current team of 10 FT and PT employees has unique and diverse expertise across multiple disciplines, from life sciences, to engineering, creative, strategy, marketing and commercialization, and this team has made tremendous progress on building our MVP. We have a top-notch international Advisory Board, and the company has recently closed a Pre-Seed round of financing. At this point, to tell you more about the amazing product we are building, you would have to be seriously considered for the position. If you are ok with that, you can consider that you’ve made it to the second level.
About the culture, so that you can tell right away if we are your kind of people
We are work-hard, play-hard people. We take ownership of tasks, and we deliver. At this point, there is no luxury of delegation, so you have to really own your domain and be a doer. The company is international, but it is headquartered in the US, and executive management (CEO and CMO) are located there, so we need you to be flexible, open, straightforward, and up for respectful and productive communication. Opinions are heard and valued, not silenced – but you do need valid and logical justification.
About the role
Now, we are coming to the question, do you have what it takes to join our team?
Well, for starters you have to be really, really good at HTML/CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, NextJS, NestJS with minimum 4 years of experience. Youhave to know how to use Figma and Adobe CS. You will need to collaborate and communicate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and other team members.
You need to be a believer in our mission and product and help us build it; including developing new user-facing features for our applications and maintain existing ones, relying on various front-end tools. You need to play a role in optimization of product performance and scalability. Needless to say that you need to be able to write coherent, logical, well-tested, and well-structured code, as well as create and maintain technical documentation, and help to test and debug the application. If you think of yourself as a forward thinker and self-starter who thrives on working in a fast-paced, startup, remote environment and has comfort in working with a multinational team across time zones – you are going to the third level. Experience in digital health or life sciences is considered a plus, just to mention.
Preference will be given to candidates who work from the office.

If you are risk averse and looking for the highest possible monthly paycheck, joining a start-up is probably not the best option for you.
