About our IT-infrastructure

We have several “Live servers” which our clients access using our various APIs (XML, JSON and “in-page insert API”). These live servers are synced from our primary backend server, which our editors work on (standardization of content). We also have a development server and multiple crawler servers. All our servers run LAMP (Ubuntu, Apache, MariaDB, PHP7). We use GitLab as repository manager and various frameworks like jQuery, Prototype but all JS/Ajax for our frontend solutions are self-developed.

Your profile

You are an experienced developer with expert level skills in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/Ajax & Linux. You are proactive, responsible and communicative and you have a genuine interest for new coding technologies. You have the experience as being the “Senior” developer or the most senior in the team. You have skills to write well functional and documented code and to continuously develop and maintain our servers. You must have excellent communication skills in English and enjoy working with international colleagues. You will be taking over the main responsibility for our company’s development and maintenance.

Main requirements

• Finished higher education (university level) in system development
• At least 5 years’ experience (documented commercial, post education) in PHP, JavaScript/Ajax, HTML/CSS
• A deep understanding of Linux servers (we run Ubuntu, Apache, MariaDB)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• You will be working on CET-time from 08-17.

Desired qualifications

• GitLab, Percona, eCommerce experience, XML or SOAP APIs
