Job title: Solutions Engineer

Office location: Belgrade, Serbia (hybrid working 3 days in the office)

About the role and the Team:

As a Senior Solution Designer, you will be joining our Digital Innovation team which is part of our Technology & Innovation division. This role focuses on solution designs and impact analyses on the overall business goals and outcomes while constantly having the Technology & Innovation perspective in mind.  A person in this role must have a profound knowledge of available technologies and the existing system architecture to suggest the best solution according to the incoming requirements and existing environments.

What will you be doing?

Analyzing the solution environment

Mapping both the existing and new (to be introduced) environments, data structures and the interfaces between them - making sure they are in-sync, scalable, future proof and fit for purpose.
Have a profound understanding of the systems, the ways they integrate and the ways they are used by the business.

Participating in solution & technology selection

Build proof of concepts and support the process of getting the projects into the pipeline.
Enable the 3rd parties to integrate with Hyperoptic systems (e.g., workforce outsourcing).

Collaborating on the solution designs

Work with the other solution designers, enterprise architects, network engineers, software developers and external suppliers on detailing the integration & architecture sides of the solution design.
Produce the solution designs for related to both the existing and newly introduced Hyperoptic systems.

Controlling solution development

Make sure that on a technical level the systems are delivered according to spec.
Touch-base with the suppliers and internal teams on continuous improvements.
Work with the ITNO's Quality Assurance and Internal IT teams on preparing the stress test cases and identify the critical, non-functional, scenarios.
Coordinate the releases of the integrated solutions making sure the contracts between the systems are always up-to-date and that all the sides are ready for change.

Supporting project management

Provide support to the Heads of Digital Innovation and Development with stakeholder and supplier management.
Track the deliverables and help coordinate tasks between the teams in the Technology & Innovation division.
Prepare the necessary reports for the project managers related to the system delivery.  

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in a similar domain (at least 3 years)
• Direct experience in designing solutions that involve integrating with third-party/external systems and transforming data between different formats.
• Experience with API and data modeling, ideally with exposure to industry standards like TM Forum Open APIs.
• Deep understanding of modern integration patterns, with demonstrable experience using both RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures (Kafka is a plus).
• Take ownership of designing and documenting robust microservice-based solutions.
• A strong grasp of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and release.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the telecommunications sector and with enterprise-level OSS/BSS solutions is highly desirable.
