SYSTEMS OPERATIONS ENGINEER

The role of the Systems Operations Engineer is to help our production team deploy, scale, monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure of our cloud and workspace environment.

YOUR PROFILE

We expect the candidate to be highly proficient in Linux, lazy for doing things manually, creative and enthusiastic when it comes to automating things. We expect high-level documentation writing skills and the ability to closely collaborate with different stakeholders - System and DB Administrators, Production and QA teams and Technical Support.

Requirements

Experience with Linux systems administration
Experience with Virtualization management (Proxmox, VMWare)
Experience with monitoring/alerting solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Icinga etc.)
Experience with Linux and Windows OS endpoint troubleshooting
Experience with operating system security principles including patch management and system hardening
Experience with Bash or Python scripting
High-level documentation writing skills
Experience with Infrastructure Orchestration tools (preferably Terraform)
Excellent English skills - both written and verbal
Preferably 3+ years of professional experience

Considered a plus:

Experience with Docker / Kubernetes
Experience with Configuration management tools (preferably Ansible)
Experience with Cloud Service Providers (Google Cloud,AWS,Azure)
Experience with MySQL, Mongo and Redis DBs
Experience with Jira, Confluence
Experience with Vagrant or similar virtualization tools
University degree in Computer Sciences or Software Engineering related field
