Technical Sales Account Executive


Our Technical Sales Account Executives are responsible for establishing a new Enterprise Corporate Client base through strategic value selling and effective/targeted prospecting. You’ll join a team of high-performing Sales Leaders who strive to continuously expand and improve our client relationships. You’ll be expected to operate independently, though your day-to-day will often involve collaborating with our Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to sell, support, and deliver solutions for our customers.


  • Work in the office or remotely, or both (but not at the same time)
  • In partnership with the team, provide a world-class customer experience throughout the Sales/Customer lifecycle
  • Selling Circonus’ Products and Services related to Cloud Hosting, IoT, and/or other data-intensive solutions
  • Defining client needs through product knowledge and positioning
  • Navigating a company’s political landscape to uncover and close enterprise level deals
  • Working directly with our Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to sell, architect and deliver custom PoCs and solutions.
  • Maintaining Enterprise Accounts through dedication, persistence, follow-up, effective utilization of provided resources and unbeatable customer service
  • Building client relationships over the phone and in person with C – Level Executives and Budget Holders.


  • Minimum 5+ years direct selling experience (ideally in the enterprise space to High Level Business Executives)
  • A technical background that includes previous experience providing engineering guidance and support serving as the client liaison with Engineering and Product teams/SMEs
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with clients and vendors
  • Experienced selling Cloud Hosting, IoT, and/or other data-intensive solutions
  • Strong presentation skills; high degree of comfort speaking with Executives, and IT Management
  • Expertise in targeting decision makers, budget holders, and influencers
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Experience leveraging a strategic selling approach
  • Exceptional closing skills
  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
