Telecom IT Operations Engineer

Belgrade

IT Operations Engineer will have opportunity to learn Cramer System. Seavus will provided for you the suitable training for the project specific systems.

Amdocs Cramer OSS is a set of applications (modules) built around Resource Manager, an inventory of a company's telecommunications network infrastructure and configuration, including equipment like switches, routers, SDH and PDH nodes, CPEs etc., as well as other modern telecommunications technologies.

Cramer OSS suite uses Java as middleware platform for the GUI and interfaces or adapters between the suite and external systems.

If you possess:

Basic knowledge of Scripting (SQL, Shell, PowerShell, Batch) experience
Basic knowledge of DB and data modeling principles and associated tools (Oracle SQL Developer and Toad tools)
Basic knowledge of UNIX/LINUX Red Hat
Understanding of telecommunication technologies and processes
Experience using ticketing and monitoring tools
Ability to prioritize assignments, handles shifting deadlines, multitasking, and work independently as well as in team environment

It is nice to have:

Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, Firewall/VLAN configuration
CCNA certificate
Internet network concepts, protocols and associated services (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SCP, DNS)
Eclipse (Metadata Manager, OSS Reporting based on BIRT)
TortoiseSVN
Amdocs Cramer OSS Resource Manager (Network Inventory) application
Ability to exercise good judgement, to independently assess risk, and to make critical decisions
Ability to travel
Willingness to work flexible hours

Your role in the team will be:

Actively participate in IT release management process
System release deployment on testing and production environments
Post deployment analysis
Monitoring system operations and troubleshoot problems
Systems patches (HotFixes) installation
System support and administration of UNIX/LINUX Red Hat, Oracle DB and Oracle WebLogic
Application support of Amdocs Cramer OSS products (Resource Manager, Amdocs Network Navigator)
Monitor, Support and Troubleshoot Shell scripts and scheduled processes
Monitor performance of the systems
Document work activities
Participate in processes and procedures improvement
Work with JIRA, KANBAN and Agile methodologies
