C++ Software Engineer (Home Security Gateway/Network)

As a C/C++ software developer in RT-RK you would be able to work on complex projects requiring specific knowledge and experience with different technologies, from SoC, system programming to high-level application programming. If you are passionate about problem solving and paying attention to details, this opportunity is a perfect match for your ambitions.

As a C++ developer, you will participate in the development and integration of the SW that will be built for a new family of products, delivering the world’s most advanced and intuitive smart alarm product suite. This new range of products will be built on top of Linux open source stack. Throughout the product development cycle, you will partner with SW engineers, Functional Analysts, Testers and Software Designers to deliver an experience that our users will love.

Your role:

Analyze features scope, functional and system requirements.
Participate in technical decisions discussions and trade off and deliver technical solution design.
Develop Linux solutions using C++, Boost, Qt, IPC communications through DBUS interfaces and integrated with different services on the system
Optimize performance, memory and power of resulting product to provide best possible experience to the user
Bugfixing and correction of issues, following QA plans and release management
Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the software projects.
Working as a member of agile development team

REQUIREMENTS:

Academic education in computer technology (BSc or MSc degree)
C++ development using highest standards of quality on object oriented and metaprogramming paradigms
Knowledge of software practices, software architecture and object-oriented design
Test Driven Development and unit tests
Linux development, services, APIs, and specially on Yocto or other embedded distributions
CMake and GNU Toolchain
Great knowledge on DBUS and/or other IPC mechanisms
Great knowledge on git and gitflow paradigm
