Automation QA Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an Automation QA engineer to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. She/He will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and design a new TCs. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

As an Automation QA engineer, you will work in a multicultural distributed team to design and implement several IGT products.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams to understand business/system requirements and solution designs.
• Design and build test automation to confirm API functionality, performance, and error handling.
• Write Test cases, define input parameters, execute, compare (expected vs actual), and exception handling.
• Track and report defects, work with developers to resolve defects with Jira Platform
• Validate functionality, reliability, performance, and security of programming interfaces.
• Participate in project/release planning to establish and maintain testing plans and initial scheduling estimates.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Postman, Soap UI, Selenium, Eclipse, JMeter or similar testing tools.
• Proven experience in understanding business logic layer of the software architecture.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Analytical / problem solving mindset.
• Excellent time management, planning and multi-tasking skills to support more than 1 testing campaign at the same time.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, phone, video, etc.).
• Experience with SQL (DB2/PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Agile development principles
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills on English

Preferred:

• Familiarity with CI/CD environments, Jenkins Pipelines/DevOps environments is preferred.
• Expertise on performance test
