Game Illustrator

• Employment type: Full-time position through employment contract.
• Requirement: Candidates must be fully eligible to work full-time under a local employment contract in Serbia.
• Work setup: Hybrid, connected to the local office in Belgrade

What you'll do

As a Game Illustrator, you will create high-quality, production-ready artwork for mobile slot games, from early visual exploration through final in-game assets. You will combine strong illustration skills with an understanding of gameplay hierarchy, symbol readability, composition, and visual storytelling. 

• Develop visual concepts and art styles for mobile slot games, from early sketches and mood exploration to final production artwork. 
• Create polished symbols, characters, backgrounds, logos, feature assets, and supporting UI artwork. 
• Design clear and recognizable symbols that remain readable at small mobile screen sizes. 
• Build strong visual hierarchy across reels, backgrounds, features, characters, and jackpot elements. 
• Adapt artwork for different screen formats, resolutions, and mobile devices. 
• Work across a variety of themes and styles, from stylized cartoon artwork to polished premium casino visuals. 
• Collaborate closely with Game Design, Animation, Development, Math, and Audio teams throughout production. 
• Prepare layered, production-ready assets for animation and implementation. 
• Iterate efficiently based on feedback, gameplay requirements, testing, and product needs. 
• Maintain visual consistency and quality throughout the full game production cycle. 

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience creating illustrations and visual assets for games. 
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality game illustration and a solid understanding of shape, color, lighting, composition, and visual hierarchy. 
• Experience creating artwork for mobile games; slot or casino game experience is a strong advantage. 
• Strong understanding of symbol readability and visual clarity at small screen sizes. 
• Ability to work across different visual styles and adapt to the art direction of each game. 
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop; experience with Illustrator or similar tools is a plus. 
• Good understanding of preparing layered artwork for animation and game implementation. 
• Ability to take a concept from initial sketch through to polished final artwork. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and responding constructively to feedback. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. 

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working on released slot or casino games. 
• Experience collaborating with Spine or other animation pipelines. 
• Understanding of game engines, implementation workflows, or asset optimization for mobile.
