We are now looking for a Software Development engineer with strong skills in C++ to join Navigation RT. Our teams work on Navigation, Radar and Planning software for the maritime industry. This position is permanent and possible locations are Belgrade, Serbia; Helsinki, Finland or Hamburg, Germany.
What you will be doing?
Your work includes development of the Navigation software, which is used both onboard the vessels and as a part of navigation training center. You will satisfy upcoming certification requirements and adopt the software to the new customer’s needs.
As a Software Development Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain maritime navigation software using C++
- Creating unit tests
- Improving the software components design
- Ensure high code quality, participate in the Code Review
- Participate in the Agile activities
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Excellent knowledge of the C++ programming language
- Technical and communication English
- Good communication skills
- Great skills of improving products with a lot of legacy.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with maritime navigation will be an advantage
- Knowledge of Qt
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices
