QA Automation Tester - Messaging CPaaS Platform

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Automation Tester to join our team in enhancing the quality, performance, and reliability of our cutting-edge messaging CPaaS platform developed in Java. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated testing, with expertise in creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure our CPaaS platform exceeds industry standards and customer expectations. Your role will be crucial in implementing automated testing strategies, identifying bugs, and working closely with the development team to facilitate continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) and frameworks to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of the messaging CPaaS platform.
• Work with the development team to understand feature requirements and develop effective test plans and automation strategies.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and feedback.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement in the software development process, and make recommendations to the development team.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve test processes.
• Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in the creation and enhancement of test automation frameworks.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Conduct manual testing when necessary to complement automated tests.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Proficient in programming or scripting languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Java, Python).
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with messaging systems or CPaaS platforms.Knowledge of Java application development and its testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience testing API endpoints.
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
