DevOps Intern
This internship is designed as a learning and career development pathway into a Junior DevOps Engineer role. Under the guidance of our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will participate in realworld DevOps activities involving cloud infrastructure, automation, system administration, and database operations.
You will be contributing to the modernization of our platforms on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Infrastructure (AWS) and learning how to build and support cloud-native solutions using industry-standard tools and practices.
The Internship Program is designed to last 6 months.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and OCI/AWS tools.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, deployment automation, and environment maintenance.
- Contribute to Linux system administration and troubleshoot operational issues under supervision.
- Support monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Nagios).
- Learn basic Oracle database administration practices in a production-like environment.
- Help document systems, procedures, and internal DevOps knowledge base.
What You’ll Learn
- DevOps fundamentals applied in a live SaaS environment.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Cloud-native architecture principles and DevOps workflows.
- Exposure to Oracle DB administration, cloud security, and compliance frameworks.
- Real-world experience in working within an agile DevOps team.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in DevOps engineering.
- Basic understanding of Linux, cloud services, and scripting (e.g., Bash or Python).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Attention to details and dedication to quality.
- Nice to Have
- Exposure to tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Docker.
- Academic or personal projects involving cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Basic knowledge of Oracle or other relational database systems.
