About the team:

Prophet is a leading risk management platform used by the financial services industry around the world to model companies’ financial business.

Our team is working on a greenfield Prophet SaaS project. Join one of multinational Scrum teams which are using the latest CI/CD methodologies with the goal of creating high performance SaaS microservice application in AWS Cloud.

Application for Insurance industry which will utilize so many machines that you will need to learn how to deal with limitations of standard AWS services. I you like challenges, we are offering one. We need SRE to support building, running and maintaining our production environments.

What you will be doing:

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about technologies and has strong analytical skills to take on the following challenges in the Prophet SaaS team:

• Build software solutions and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
• Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Build monitoring that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages.
• Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
• Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts.
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.
• Partner with stakeholders to design and deliver a reliable, scalable, secure, and performant platform.
• Stay current on technical trends to suggest innovative tools and approaches to problems.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Identify and resolve problems promptly to meet and improve service levels and standards.

What you bring:

• A passion for problem solving with strong analytical capabilities.
• Comfort with Linux/Unix command line.
• Conceptually strong in Basics in Technology, Infrastructure, Domain.
• Know one of (Unix/Windows Scripting, Python, Java, C++, C#)
• Experience with relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to Automate repetitive tasks (Scripting, RPA (Robotics Process Automation), Power Automate, Harness etc.)
• Knowledge in DevOPS (CI/CD) and relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Experience working on cloud-based infrastructure e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge in OS (Operating System), Network, Middleware, Database, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), Load Balancer
• Strong Knowledge in Tools like Dynatrace, Splunk and ability to create Dashboards, Views, and Alerts.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skillset –To troubleshoot and solve a problem quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline. 

Added bonus if you have experience:

• With configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• With PostgreSQL or Amazon RDS
• With message queuing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka
• In software releasing and versioning
• With object-oriented programming, preferably C#
• Exposure to software development
• In finance/insurance
