Senior QA Engineer

Position type: Full time, B2B Contract/Independent Contractor Agreement

Role overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in automated testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Postman, Cypress, Selenium and other automation tools, ensuring the quality and reliability of our product. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests that improve our testing efficiency and software performance.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to define and implement test strategies for new and existing features.
• Design, develop, and maintain manual test scenarios and test them.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Develop and execute API tests using Postman or similar tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring proper resolution.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software quality.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest QA trends, tools, and best practices.

Your profile

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automated testing.
• Proficiency with test case management tools (Linear, Jira, etc).
• Experience in Cypress, Selenium, or other automation frameworks.
• Experience with Postman, RESTful API testing, and API automation.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience with mobile testing (Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest).
• Knowledge of security testing principles.
